Moss Side Community Allotment

We are a group of people who work together with the purpose of growing organic produce and expanding our knowledge of growing food and community. What we grow and what we learn we share.

Our aim is to be an example of self sustainability and self sufficiency. We welcome people and groups who want to connect with us, dig with us, engage in growing and sharing knowledge and skills.


Upping It

Upping it helps neighbours and neighbourhoods in Moss Side & Rusholme to clean and green alleys, reduce fly‑tipping and rubbish, increase recycling, and improve our environment.


Rusholme & Fallowfield Civic Society

The society works to stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of Rusholme and Fallowfield and their surroundings, encourage the preservation, development and improvement of the features which go to make pleasing conditions in which to live and work, and encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in the area.

The site includes the evidence of Manchester’s 2017 Ward Boundary scandal – that Manchester City Council leaders breached the statutory requirement in England to include residents groups on a “comprehensive” notification list before changing the ward boundaries across Manchester. MCC then stripped Moss Side of Whitworth Park, The Whitworth Gallery, the Moss Side Allotments, and south Manchester’s prime development land.
